I was just wondering, since Cornell has seven schools, is it generally easy to just cahnge from one to another. Examples:

CoE to CAS
Hotel to CALS
AAP to HumEc
CoE to Hotel
ILR to CAS
etc...

Is it as simple as asking for it? Or do you have to argue, or are grades placed into the equation? Do you literally have to apply as a transfer student? lol I hope not.

I just want to know because even if one is currently interested in one thing, you never know if what you really wanted is in another school.

It's very difficult to transfer into Hotel, AAP and ILR. They're the smallest programs as well. Most common transfer is from CoE to CAS, and among Ag and HE. You'll need to speak to the Dean and convince him/her as part of the process. Otherwise, keep your grades above a 3.0 and you should have no problem transferring. Oh yeah, almost no one transfers to CoE because most students would need to start as a freshman with all of those prerequisite classes (Chem, Calc, Physics, etc.).

As it was said in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: "Choose (your school) wisely!"

its probably easiest to internal transfer into CoE, since my feeling is that that school has the most transferring out. You just need a decent gpa and a good reason. But, once you are in, you will probably be way behind in the curriculum and will probably have to stay an extra year, or put in some summers.
