<p>My dream school is University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign but i didnt realize this until it was already too late. UIUC became a pretty selective school over the past few years and since i was sure i wouldn't get in, i didnt bother to apply there. I just got into University of Illinois at Chicago though, even though it's not my top school.. I would be willing to go there if it means i'll be able to transfer after my freshman year as a sophomore into UIUC. Has anyone ever done that? Would it be difficult to transfer? I would also not be transferring into the engineering field so I feel like that would make it a little easier, correct?</p>
<p>It does depend on what program you’re looking at (engineering would be most selective, so that should make things easier maybe) I know it is possible, but some credits don’t transfer if I remember correctly. I think you have a good chance if you prove yourself at UIC. Going to UIC is my plan if I don’t get accepted anywhere else then I plan to transfer to UIUC for engineering. If you try hard enough, I think it’s definitely possible. Applying earlier is obviously better :).</p>
