How difficult is it to transfer into Viterbi?

I am a junior hoping to enter USC a freshman in 2013 and am not sure yet what I want to study. I do well in math and chemistry. I will take Physics in my senior year. I am leaning towards engineering, but I don’t feel I know enough about it yet to make it my first choice when applying. Ideally, I’d like to take science classes and Introduction to Engineering class as a freshman so I can see if engineering or sciences would be a better fit for me.

Can I do this and then switch to Viterbi after freshman year? If so, could I still complete my degree in 4 years? Or will I lose time by not having a firm direction now? Should I just apply to Viterbi and then switch out if it is not the right fit for me?

I am just not clear of how this all works especially if you are not sure what you want to do yet. Also, the different engineering majors seem so vast to me at this point and I don't know which one I'd like to choose. I'm overwhelmed about the right way to approach this. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
