I have applied to Colgate as a transfer for my Sophomore year. It would be my ideal school but I think I won't get in. Anyone know how tough it is to get in? This year in particular.

My GPA for first semester was a 3.3, it would've been a 3.7 but I got one C+. Mid semester grades are two A's and two B's.

HS GPA was like a 2.5

Three year varsity athlete and captain in HS.

And I'll be paying the full tuition, if that helps me out at all.

I think you have just another week or so before Colgate lets you know! It’s tough but if you think you gave a very good reason why Colgate is the place for you, it’s worth hoping and praying for. I was a transfer student and when I learned how selective it was, I was REALLY glad that Colgate gave me a second chance (they turned me away for freshman admissions).

Hi! I am also a transfer applicant very interested in attending Colgate.

Ticklemepink- you mentioned that you went through this same transfer process applying to Colgate as a transfer, when exactly did you hear? I assuming you heard by mail? Do you know if all the transfer applicants to Colgate heard at the same time? Thanks so much for your help!

Duckss- good luck and I hope you receive great news!
