How difficult is it?

How difficult is it to get into Harvard Law School from Dartmouth College? Is it easier because Dartmouth is a comparable school or is it just as hard as other universities? Thanks your your input.

GPA and LSAT. Since you don’t have either yet, just relax and do well. No need to worry about the LSAT until at least junior year.

You just don’t know what the landscape will look like 4 years from now, so don’t worry about it. This year has been a crazy year for students applying to law school (partly because of the economy- while there were not more people applying to school, people were applying to more schools which meat the number of applications were up). My guess is that application will be up until the economy straightens out.

One of D’s friends graduated PBK, this cycle was accepted to Stanford, NYU, Columbia, UVA, Michigan and a bunch of other T-14 schools. Friend was straight out rejected at Boalt and Yale while waitlisted at Harvard. Another friend who is a '9 was waitlisted at some T-14 schools and accepted at Yale. So who is to say? Overall, D has friends who are either attending or were accepted at all of the T-14 schools. So do well and kill the LSAT and you will have a lot of choices.

You may find that you may not want to do law. take your time, enjoy your college experience; study abroad, do internships, volunteer and you will find that your gift will make room for you.

I agree with sybbie. But going to Dartmouth will give you an advantage over most people. Doing well AT DARTMOUTH will give you an even better advantage. Careful, people from Stanford, Yale, Duke, Columbia, and even HARVARD itself want Harvard law too. Yes, the competition is slightly narrowed down, but the people are much much more qualified than prospective undergrads

Bottomline: Just nail a 3.7+ and nail the LSAT.

Good luck.
