Also, roughly how many questions can you miss to get an 800?

How difficult?
I thought it was pretty easy, but I took it at the end of my AP chem course.

How specific?
It covers a lot of topics, but never went in depth like the AP exam.

Roughly how many questions can be missed?
I know for sure I missed one question, but I heard you can miss about 4 and still get 800.

Roughly how many questions can be missed to get a 600-750?
Can someone do well without take ap chemistry?

I believe I missed 4-5 questions on got an 800. That's on the more generous side though...a safer bet for a guaranteed 800 is missing 3 or less.

It's a pretty generous curve though to get 750 or higher.

The exam is moderately difficult...I'd say 6/10 (Physics would fall at 8/10, Literature at 10/10, and Math2 at 5/10, for perspective).

So, I haven't taken AP Chem yet, but I'm in Honors Chem right now (I had to take Honors first). However, at my school it sounds like the AP students do the same thing the Honors students do only in more detail and depth, and my Chemistry teacher is one of the best AP Chem teachers in the state (usually 50+% of his students get a 5 on the AP exam). Do you think I have a decent chance of doing well on the SAT II even though I haven't taken AP Chem yet?

hannah: If you take extra time outside of class to prepare for the test on your own, you can definitely do well.

Well, at my school, the honors chemistry curriculum pretty much covers everything you could need for the exam. My advice if you are in honors chem would be to study a review book on your own and definitely get a feel for the exam questions. That way, when you walk in, it will be pretty easy. Course, ap chemistry does help.

For those of you guys that took it after taking AP Chem...I heard it was a lot easier than the AP Chem exam. Is that true? Does AP Chem prepare you enough for the SAT II or are there other info you should review that's not really covered on the AP exam..?

What was the hardest part of the exam? The T/F/CE part looks pretty hard..

^ All topics on SAT Chem is covered by AP, and yes, SAT chem is way easier than AP. AP chem prepares you more than enough for SAT chem.

The T/F/CE questions are kind of confusing and random, but if you know your stuff, it's do-able.
