compared to the MC on the AP US History exam?

Generally the same or is the AP one harder?

AP’s are, in my opinion, way harder than the SAT II’s. Applies to Math, Bio, and Physics.

alright because I got a 4 on AP US History and I think I did great on MC compared to essays

is there a place where I can find the min/max MC to receive a 4 as your grade

dude trust me on this one i’ve taken both, got a five on the ap and a 750 on the sat II

they are tested on completely different contents, SAT II us history is probably the hardest sat subject test there is

The MC part of the AP exam and the subject test seemed very, very similar to me in terms of difficulty level. But you’d get a better reading of how you’d do by taking a Sparknotes test-there’s eight free US History exams online. I think they’re a little harder than the actual test. I got a 620 on the first one and was able to bring my score up to a max of 780, with a 760 on the one I took the day before the actual SATs. I got a 780 on the real thing. It’s a great resource and if you’ve got nervous energy it’s much better to channel it into practice tests than obsessing about the AP exam [which is, hooray, OVER!]

thanks I guess I’ll try that also, I’m afraid I forgot the material though, maybe a light review and I should be able to take it

I thought the SAT II was harder but part of the reason was that I took it a week before the AP test, so I ended up studying more for the AP test. The AP test just seemed more straight forward to me.

I thought the SAT II questions were MUCH harder than the AP questions. I nearly cried at the end of the SAT II, haha.
Mostly, there were just a lot more random questions that one can’t really study for. At least in my opinion.
HOWEVER, the SAT II has a really big curve. I ended up getting an 800 after nearly canceling. So while it’s a hard test, the scores end up higher than you think.

SAT II Questions were harder. IMO the SAT II Q’s were more detail oriented, so you had to know your stuff.

Surprisingly, I studied harder for the subject test than for the AP exam because I realized that getting an 800 would be harder than getting a 5. Since I took the June test and school was out, I just crammed the week before.

Came out with an 800 and a 5 :)

Would AMSCO be sufficient for a 800 in SAT II USH?

What is an AMSCO?

The SAT II has questions that are a bit more detailed, but overall, the test shouldn’t be very difficult if one knows the material really well. I only used my textbook and my course review book (as well as Sparknotes for some questions) and scored a 790 on the subject test–after a 5 on the AP exam.

What is an AMSCO?

AMSCO is a book company.

Thanks for all the help, turns out this may be difficult to take months after my AP exam. I was foolish not to take it in June.

i actually thought it was harder than the AP

SAT 2 MC is way harder then the AP MC. I got a 630 on the SAT 2, should have never took it, and a 4 on the AP test.
