To get into a b school without earning a business related degree? For example poli sci?

good question

Your major has little to do with getting into an MBA school in comparison to your work experience and essays. At some schools, having a UG business major is actually an inhibitor because it makes it harder to convince admissions people why you want an MBA as they are looking to create a diverse class.

Assuming you get in, how difficult are the classes if you do not have an undergraduate business background?

No more difficult than if you do, I would assume.

I have an engineering background and haven’t found any of the material too difficult. However, I am interested in business and studied it long before I decided to get an MBA.

It’s not much more difficult. Your work experience and your undergrad GPA would matter much more than the actual major.

Glad to hear that. My son is going in the fall and has an engineering background but no recent business-related courses.
