How do adcoms look at MASSIVE score increases.

Who adcoms be impressed by a huge SAT increase (600+) and a huge ACT increase (10+ points) in a retake? Dont assume I did poorly on the exams, because I didnt. This is just a hypothetical situation which my friend is likely to fall into. Thanks.

They will just take the higher score. After all, it is just one test taken on one day.

good luck to your friend on bring her/his score by 600 points.

wow. from a 1800 to 2400? impressive impressive.

Any improvement is good. 600 points is excellent.

The OP never explicitly said it was from an 1800 to 2400. Nonetheless, a 600 point increase is amazing.

Yes, it VERY likely based on his consistent scores on the Blue book. Do you think it is a hook in a way?

No. I don't think it is a hook.

james didn't you get a 2270 or something?

Yes, I did. I am talking about my friend's situation, if you read my original post.

Maybe he was just asking, JamesN. No need to get defensive. :p

I was not, just trying to clear confusion. LOL, whaever.

Yeah that didn't sound defensive at all, haha.

I think they'll just take the higher score and evaluate him based on his higher score. That's it.
