How do B-schools view selective loss of credit on transcript after transfer?

Hi Everyone,

I recently transferred schools within my University, and now they are only allowing me to carry 64 credits with me. Fortunately, I am able to select what stays and what leaves. My extra courses are 4 Chinese classes from a CC in hs, and a few others. However, first semester freshman year, I got a C- in a core course, that no longer is needed for my new school.

This C- is weighing down my GPA, I have over a 3.5 all other semesters. In this situation, would it be better to selectively choose to have that C- course marked as "not counted towards current program," and to not affect my GPA, or to remove other courses from prior to undergrad?

I just don't want a future employer to look at my transcript, see that I took the course, but that I am not getting credit for it for my current program, if that will be a bad signal.

What do you guys think?

They don’t care.

As Janet Jackson would say: “What have you done for me lately? Ooh ooh ooh yeah!”
