How do C’s look

So for my entire high school I’ve been a pretty solid A student with a couple B’s. Sophomore year I had the horrible mistake of taking honors chemistry… honestly i did everything i could to get by in that class and everything but it was like rocket science to me- no joke. i barely passed chem honors with a C second semester, but did get a A- somehow first semester because the content was a bit easier and the teacher was nice enough to round my grade from an 88! I also got another C+ in trigonometry and it wasn’t even honors :((

I got all A’s in my classes except a B in Ap european history. I’m in all Ap/honors except for english and math (i got an A+ in english 1st and second semester as well as spanish)
I have a lot of EC’s including future healthcare professionals, internships, science olympiad, soccer, basketball, volunteer… etc. etc. I took a practice ACT and got a 28 but i’m definitely trying to get a high score junior year.
plus i’m taking more honors and AP’s junior year which i’m confident about because i actually like the subjects and i just know i won’t get a C.

bottom line… how bad will two C look? technically it counted as a B since it is an honors source but i mean it’s still a C… i haven’t gotten a C since the 6th grade

Plus my school is known to have rigorous academics ( i don’t know if that goes into account in the admission process)

C’s look like three quarter’s of a capital O.

Which is the first part of OK.

It will ok. Your profile is looked at in totality. If you are strong in many areas and your application includes excellent writing, good LORs and strong ECs. One or two Cs will not require you to move to Alaska and live in the woods. LOL.

If you are working as hard as you can and doing the best work you are capable of there’s nothing more you can do in any case.

Your work ethic will last well beyond the memory of any one grade.

There are hundreds of fine colleges and universities.

Just align your expectations and objectives to prioritize finding schools that will be a good fit for both you and them. Academically. Socially. Economically.

There are loads to choose from with your excellent profile. You remind me of my nephew. Graduated from a rigorous private day school. Same exact ACT and good grades but a few Cs in a couple of tough classes.

He is proudly and excitedly headed as an OOS applicant to the University of Pittsburgh as a business major in the fall.

Move to alaska and live in the woods ?? Thank you so much! Also wow congrats to your nephew, that’s awesome!!
