<p>ok so someone told me that u dont automatically get what major that you want, that for example if someone in the top 10 percent wants chemical engineering, they get that over someone not in 10 percent, is this true? can someone tell me how the whole process of choosing majors work at texas a&m? thanks</p>
<p>It’s rolling admissions so whoever gets accepted first will be put in the major they chose unless it’s already full. For example I was accepted in January, however, mechanical engineering was already full as well as a few other disciplines so I had to go to industrial. All of the classes are the same though freshman year and many kids will drop so you should hopefully be able to transfer into your desired major during/after freshman year.</p>
