How do class waitlists usually work at Mines?

<p>It will be my first semester at Mines (Transfer) and I was registered for classes by the registrar. In one of the classes I am wait listed. I applied early and finished everything early so I don’t know why I was still waitlisted in one of my classes, but oh well. Class is Statics and I’m the third in line on the list (And last. Total of 5 waitlist spots). Class has a capacity of 65.</p>

<p>What does this usually mean at Mines. Does it usually mean I will eventually get the class? Or the opposite? I know it depends on each school and how strict they are about things like that and how often students drop classes. IS it possible that they add me to the class even if no one drops it?</p>

<p>We just did freshman orientation on 7/11. The schedules are NOT finalized until the first day of class. Sooo, there’s time that something will change for you. You should just contact your advisor and chat with them. We met with our son’s on Friday about his transfer credits (he has 47 but entering as a freshman).</p>
