How do Colleges feel about retaking classes?

I was wondering what a college would think if i decided to retake a class i got a B in in order to get an A. Though i know it will not increase my learning experience, it will replace my original B with the new A in my GPA. Its the only reasonable class i can take during that specific period. Should i do it? Yes or no?

That sounds like the most boring experience ever. If it shows up on your transcript twice, certainly not.

Grades don't always replace other grades directly depending on how your school district does transcripts. I suppose you would care about that.

A larger issue is that you may be getting too obsessive about this. I assume that you must have a 4.0 unweighted except for the B or else you wouldn't even care about the B. If I were you, I would try to not worry about your transcript so much, and try more to just enjoy the learning process. You don't want to just be a grunt. Eventually it will suck the experience dry. Surely there is something else you could be doing with your time.

I did this through a correspondence class. I wish I wouldn't have, it just doesn't seem worth it now. Especially since my transcript still shows my B but just for no credit. I always thought that it may seem obsessive, so if I were you, I wouldn't do it. I just hope admissions officers don't penalize me for it.

i just found out mine will have an A but a big RE will be next to it! yikes....
