how do colleges judge SAT scores?

hey guys

i was wondering...when colleges look at your SAT scores, do they judge based on how well other people did for that specific test? or is it an absolute thing, where they judge only by numbers, disregarding the test date? for example, i heard that the most recent one was much easier...so i'm really curious.

thanks!

They don’t care about the test date; they only care about the score. They get thousands and thousands of apps…they just don’t have time to get that detailed about it.

The standard scores are designed to be comparable from one test session to another.
