How do colleges look at GPA and Transcript/Grades?

Long story short...
I'm a rising senior and my HS GPA and grades are my biggest worries right now. I have a 3.71 UW and a 4.11 W, but this is with the addition of 4 Bs I received in each semester of Algebra I and Geometry that i took in the 7th and 8th grade. I'm currently trying to get these changed on my transcript from a letter grade to a "credit", but if this doesn't work...

How would colleges see my GPA when I apply? Would it be all the grades on my transcript? (7-11 in my case) or would they recalculate with grades from 9-11 only?

It depends on the college as to whether they will recalculate (and what the recalculation method is) or whether they will look at the transcript holistically.

That’s not too bad. That pretty solid for some of the selective college but as for ivys you would probably have to do a little better.

Answer mine?
