How do colleges recieve final IB scores

Hi,

I’m a student from the UK doing the international baccalaureate and have decided to take a gap year. When I apply I will have already completed my exams and be using my final IB grades not my predicted ones. I’m not quite certain how colleges receive these final grades. I am aware that in the US its expected that your guidance counselor uploads your predicted grades. Do I similarly just get one of my teachers to upload my final grades? Does the college need some type of confirmation from the IB organisation? Do they need proof of my score? How does it work?

Are you applying to university in the US?

yes

Since you will have your final scores and be applying in the fall, you will fill out the app for the university you are applying to and follow their directions. Some want AP/IB/SAT scores sent when you apply, some only have you self report then send when you are admitted if you choose to enroll.

You can get IB scores sent to six universities free,if you request before July. But only one can be in the US. So if you have one in particular, you might want to do that now.
