how do colleges see ap scores from sr year?

i think i’ll be taking ap bio, ap calc and perhaps ap french(?) next year…if i take these tests at the end of the year, how do colleges get them in tiime and factor it into my placement at college and all that?

They don't. They'll see that you're taking a rigorous courseload, but will only use your senior AP scores to let you skip a class or for placement purposes.

so basically what you can conclude from what over30 said is, don't take a bunch of ap's you can't handle just so you can get a 3 or higher on the exam b/c it will not help you, the absolute worst thing you can do senior year is take too many AP's which you cannot handle, some people can handle 1, some 2, some 7, some 7 plus online, bottomline take the ap's you are interested in, not just to take them for the ap score

No take as many AP as you can. I was going to take 8 this year but due to schedule problems I could only take 5. Your AP scores doesn't matter. What matters is that you're taking AP classes.

Agree with beramod

Agree with beramod and esrajay. College counselors know your high school and what's offered, and in fact the high school sends a profile of the school along with your application. Top schools want to see applicants who've taken the hardest class loads possible.

Depending on how selective the schools are that you're applying to, I'd take as many APs as I could, and then I'd study like mad to get the best grades I could in those classes. Also - take the AP exams and study hard for them. You will be very grateful in college if you get a 4 or higher on those exams.

I disagree with beramod. The score is important. It's proof you actually took the exam. Many AP students simply take the class, proudly list it on their transcript, and never take the exam.
