how do colleges view those scores if i take it several times?

would they take your highest score??

i get 790 in chem 770 in math2 and .... 660 in physics....

wanna retake just physics and hopefully raise my score by 100 points or so...

will those colleges take my hightest score?

They'll see both scores. It won't be a big deal, but it may make a bit of a difference.

I don't think it will matter. For whatever reason, you were not happy with your score and felt you could do better. Unless you actually do worse, taking it again should not hurt you. 660 isn't really a bad starting score in the first place, so I wouldn't worry about schools seeing it.

If it's 750 or higher, imo it looks retarded to retake it. 700+ is eh.

But I would definitely give physics another go if I were in your shoes!

Good luck!

Read Harvard's viewbook or Princeton's viewbook online to see that those colleges do what most colleges do: consider your highest scores.

I got a 740 on both the BIO and Math II subject tests....where does that put me in my eligibility for applying to IVY league (Univ. of Penn., Princeton,). havent yet taken the SAT's (yikes! time's running out), and GPA of above 4.0

I have many extracurricular activities. I got accepted to the PA governor's school of health care, started my own cultural dance club, and secretary of our Asian culture club, on NHS, held many positions in student council.
Does any of this help? i feel like all the school activities will be insignificant.

740 is a good score. It won't boost you in an IVY app (because most people will have scores like that), but it is good enough.

You need like an 800 to even slightly impress the adcoms. Generally though I don't think they care if you got a 750 or 790.

yeah
i think anything around 750 will be fine

well i think i will retake physics in october......

really? I"m going to take physics SAT 2 this june, and ivies really don't care too much about any SAT 2 scores as long they're 750 or above?
i got 750 in USH, took it in may....is this score good enough for HYPSM, etc?

For ivies, it's basically -

Under 600: you're screwed
610 to 690: it won't kill you, but it's a disadvantage
700 to 750: eh it checks the box, but it's not as competitive as 750+ is
750 to 800: great!
