How do I approach transferring from one college to another?

<p>I need some insight into how to approach transferring to another school. I am a freshman. </p>

<p>My main questions are these:</p>

<p>Do college counselors in your current school mind if you want to transfer (how do you approach it)?</p>

<p>And</p>

<p>Is it possible that a professor will decide to give you a bad recommendation because you want to transfer?</p>
