<p>i know ive already posted a chance thing a couple months ago, but now that results are out i was wondering how i compare to those accepted this year:
male IB junior in VA, a girl from my school was accepted last year but she ended up going to UVa.
I will probably be appling EA to SFS
Rank: 7/493 (will probably be 6 or 5 next year)
UW GPA (10th grade): 3.95
W GPA (10th grade): 4.36
SAT (1st try): 680 CR 640 M- I know these are pretty low, but with the studying im doing theyll probably be about 740 CR and 680 M
SAT II: these are based on practice tests ive done: US History: 780, Spanish: 790, World History: 720 (I havent taken world history)
EC's:
-Model UN treasurer (11), co-president (12)
-Math NHS vice president (11-12)

-Spanish Club president-elect (11) president (12)

Volunteering:
-math tutoring, I'm not sure how long ive done it
-Sea Perch, which is this thing with local Navy contractors where we teach middle school students to make underwater submersibles that they ultimately use to compete in a competition. to do this i attended a college course at a local university. at least 50 hours
Other:
-This summer I will attend the Virginia Commonwealth University Russian Academy
-Im fairly confident I will be accepted into the Governor's School spanish program, but i wont go because im doing the russian thing
-excellent teacher recommendations
-I'm pretty confident in my essay writing abilities
-After i take the APUSH and AP environmental science tests this year I'll be an AP scholar</p>
