I have already paid the deposit of 250. But when I click on my to-do list it says “get CalNetID”. I clicked on the link, and it takes me to the login page. However, I do not have the CalNetID and passphrase yet. How do I create an account?
Get on your Dashboard on CalCentral after you accept your admission offer.
Your name should appear in the upper far right corner.
Click on your name and a pull down menu shows up.
Choose Profile.
You will find your student ID number here (mine was 10 digits long).
Then you click on the Dashboard in the upper left hand corner and go back to your tasks to complete setting up your CalNet ID and password.
Click on the “Get CalNet” bar.
A screen pops up asking for your CalNet ID … here you use your student ID number you got from your profile.
After this, follow the steps to set up a new ID (mine is myfirstname.mylastname) … Keep in mind that Berkeley automatically adds @berkeley.com to the end of whatever you choose and that becomes your email for the next 4 years.
When you login next time you will use this email ID (minus the @berkeley.com extension).
