How do I decide - Big university in amazing city or tiny college in small town?

For lots of people, the first things they know about what they want in a college are size and location. They either want small or big, city or small town. My problem is that I could totally see myself in either setting. I am trying to decide between McGill University in Montreal (HUGE and with hardly any community feel, very individualized and impersonal but in one of the best cities I could imagine) or a smaller university like Boston College, Bates, or Colby (all of which I'm very interested in, and all of which have a really great community feel and class discussions, etc, which appeals to me). I have no idea how to make this decision - a life at any of these colleges/universities seems great to me. How do I decide what I want!?

Visit and get a feel for each campus on your list.

I have visited all of these schools, and my problem is that I could see myself in each different environment. I am the sort of person who could make a place for myself anywhere. When choosing colleges, this is actually a very frustrating thing.

Well if none stood out to you visually, narrow them down academically to refine your list. And if you like them all academically then apply to them all and choose whichever college gives you the best FA package! ;)

Go with the smaller school if you fit in with the ‘types’ there. If by ‘you can make a place for yourself anywhere’, you mean that you’re good looking --post pics.

MCGILL!!! Totally the coolest school.
If I could’ve gotten in, I would’ve gone.
Montreal is a world-class city, and has so much going on. Plus, it’s definitely a good amount cheaper than any private US college lol.
You should totally visit!

On the other hand, I have a fond love of Boston, too, as I sorta “grew up” there. It’s a totallyd ifferent city, but it’s awesome nonetheless. Very quaint
Just visit and see which one (or any others) you’d wanna go to! But if you ask me, I’d choose the first one you listed :P
