okay I don’t know if I’m posting in the right place, but if I’m ultimately declining Pitt’s offer of admission, do I need to do anything online besides not paying the deposit? Thanks!
I think that is all you need to do!
Some schools have an option on their deposit page to decline admission. Others S just sent an email to admissions saying he appreciated the acceptance but made a different choice. At this point it probably doesn’t matter - S was letting schools know some time ago just in case they had wait lists for scholarships that he had been offered. Now that it’s almost May 1st, just not paying the deposit is probably enough.
I’m probably going to email them as well, but I wanted to ask just in case. Thanks so much!
Please just fill out this short form: http://oafa.pitt.edu/forms/cancellation.php
Best of luck at whichever college you’ve chosen!
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
