Is there a way to indicate that I will not be attending Binghamton next year? Or do I simply not do anything until all the deadlines have passed?

You should let them know. Last semester, I didn’t, and didn’t think anything of it. But it really is the right thing to do because there are applicants who were placed on a waitlist waiting for spots to open up. Your spot could be given to an applicant who really wants to attend Binghamton. Just send them an email letting them know you appreciate their offer but sadly have to decline. You can tell them why, where you decided to go, etc but you don’t have to… would just be some extra info so they can get an idea on who they lose potential students to/why they lose potential students.

thanks I’ll do that

I agree with kaitlyngrl. Some schools provide a card that would accomplish the same thing, but many don’t. I wrote physical letters when I had to decline schools if they didn’t send a card.
