How do I find out my application status?

I do not see an application status link anywhere for the University of Chicago.
Anybody know how to check your application status?

bunnyhop, i'm wondering the same thing. but my counselor said that we'd be able to check "soon". who knows when that will be

I just emailed my admissions counselor and asked if I was missing anything :)

alex994, did you hear back from your counselor?

Yeah, I heard back from her the day after I emailed her. She seems very prompt with her email responses :)

good for you :) did she check the status of your application materials?

I just got an e-mail saying that I had everything.

I just got the e-mail too.

so if we don't get an e-mail saying that we have everything, what does that mean? I never get replies from my e-mails to chicago :(

i didn't get an email i quite sad

Is it possible for Chicago to not send us an e-mail saying they don't have something from an application even if some materials are missing?

I didn't get one either. I am calling in tomorrow

In all honesty I would wait a day or two.

If you think about it they are currently processing several pieces of mail for thousands of applicants, the likely hood that all of you have incomplete applications is pretty low. I am sure things are being processed and people notified as they trudge through everything. If you look the emails that went out today are about a week earlier than when anybody was notified about application status last year, so I am sure you will find out soon enough (Regardless, I know how you feel and waiting sucks!)

Also straight from the blog:

Do you have my...? The answer is probably yes, but if we don't we'll let you know. We're in the middle of reading season, so we can't be as responsive as we'd like to be to these kinds of questions.

If you submitted your application, then don't worry. We'll let you know if an essential piece is missing.

Is it possible for them to not send an email saying they are missing something? Yes, because anything is possible, but really don't worry about it. There will be notification and time to complete your application if something is missing. They aren't out to screw you over or let some technicality get in the way of being considered from their school.

thanks red lobster! keep it real-al +d (hehe)
hippy to the hoppa.

For those of you who received an email confirming your application is complete, were all of your necessary forms completed online?

Nope.

Other than the Common App and Supplement, everything else was done on paper.

UHSdebater, first off which UHS do you go to? I go to one too :-D

and i got the email, and I only sent in the common app and supplement online. Everything else was mailed in.

Did anyone who submitted the school forms online get an email? It seems like only those who sent them by snail mail got emails.

"...we will only let you know if required materials are missing, and that portion of the website has some bugs that we're trying to work out, but it should be up and running soon. So sorry for this delay!!!"
