Greetings,

I attended an out of state four year, moved back to California, have been taking classes at the cc level, and wanted to know who I can talk to about calculating my transferable GPA. I spoke to my UCI Evaluator and she was in the middle of reviewing my application. Once my classes are evaluated for tranfer, do you think she would be able to tell me my transferable GPA or is there another way to find out my transferable GPA?

I’m impressed you have an evaluator at UCI! How do I get in on that action? I am in the same boat as you are and really wanted to know what my real transfer g.p.a. is.

Once they are evaluated, then that will be your transfer g.p.a. Each school will be different as they will accept different classes as transfer. Even your CC counselor won’t know for sure.

I have been messaging “Admissions” if anything pertinent changed since I initially applied. I emailed them that I am taking a class at UCI while still enrolled at CC and am working with a Professor at UCI doing Undergraduate Research. My Evaluator emailed me back and said she was impressed by my initiative to start taking classes and she working on my evaluation that week. She also gave me her office number and instructed me to call if I had any more questions.

kudos to you. I’m jealous. I’ve been racking my brain as how I can get into research before I get to UC. I know there are some summer programs available and I am leaning towards UCI now as my top choice because I think I can graduate from there faster than UCSD.

what is your proposed major?
