How do I fix having C grades from years ago

I have 3 or 4 Cs from my first bad years at a CCC, couple Fs but I’ve been replacing them with As.

Since I cannot Academically Renew or retake the Cs, can I take a different GE course that fufills the requirement and have that transfer instead? Or what exactly can I do in order to help my GPA from those Cs? I’m still pulling As in my other classes but I don’t like the look of trying to transfer to a UC one day with all these Cs. I’m stressing pretty hard about it. Is it just the overall GPA at the time of applying that matters?

You can’t do much about the Cs except make As now to balance them out.

Depending on how old they are, they might not play a huge part.

GPA is calculated after you submit you winter update (by Jan 31) with all of your fall grades.

IMO I think it sucks how CCs won’t let you retake them or get Academically Renewed. It’s like you get penalized for getting a C over a D or an F. It’s a ridiculous system and only goes to show that California public schools have major administrative issues.
