hey i have a problem. whenever i read i fall asleep. why does this happen??

Because You Are Not Serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Serious! You Have To Do It! No Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't read in bed, dont read on the sofa or a comfy chair. Go outside in the fresh air. Go to a coffee house.

Same thing happens to a lot of people. When you were little, did you read in bed at night and fall asleep?

read in a different environment. Read for 15 minutes, get up strech. Change locations. Read another 15 minutes. Repeat.

Use a highlighter. Mark the pages. Take notes. Read into a tape recorder.

These are tricks my younger D used.

You are not alone

Read sitting upright in a wooden chair at a library.

I have the same problem!!!!!!!! No matter what the reading is I fall asleep! We usually get 30 pages from our history textbook (Palmer) for IB history and im gone by page 5! I need the same help... And to answer "citygirlsmom" my mom did indeed read to me in bed before I fell asleep when I was very very young...

That happens to me a lot when I'm trying to read for history. What helps me is to exercise for about 30 minutes beforehand. It's hard to fall asleep with all those endorphins coursing through your veins.

Get a trustworthy friend... (or your worst nemesis). Give him/her a cow prodder. If you fall asleep, they'll know what to do.
