any ono know how? I am confident when i say that i am good in math but a practice test I took sure scared me.

Take several practice tests
The only way to get good at something is to practice.

I will but is thta the only way?

I had really high math scores in school, and not a terrible SAT score. I knew it could be better. I took a prep course and the practice helped a ton. “Learning how to take the test” impacted my score the most. I learned to catch a lot of tricks, which were bringing down my score.

I didn’t think taking practice tests helped me at all. What did help me was Barron’s SAT. It has plenty of background information, testing tricks and strategies, and practice questions at the end of each chapter. I bumped my 650 up 70 points to a 720 using Barron’s SAT. What usually works for you? Do you know?

They use the same math concepts on every test. You just need to know how to apply and use all of them.

I’m hoping to throw my 640 over a 700 in June. I’m going to study my ass off and take the Math I (or maybe II) subject test.

get the barrons 2009 book
i thought it was really helpful, it covers practically every topic that appears on the math section. it worked for me, i used to be getting around 670-680ish before the book, now i am averaging 770-800 on most practice tests.

a word of advice get it purely for math concepts, the cr strategies are kaplan based and the writing is ok, but the practice tests stink, there is a very poor scoring guidline, BUT it has the 3500 word list along with two smaller word lists 370ish words.

so all in all, get it for the math concepts and practice questions and hopefully you will get the score you want.

I know all the math I always make the dumbest mistakes such as NOT ANSWERING THE QUESTION BEING ASKED and get 2 wrong.

Ughhh ■■■.

Practice makes perfect.

I used Bob Miller’s book ( it is a bit digress the SAT math, for instance there are matrix and trigonometry) but you can skip those parts.

I addition try to study for the SAT math subject they are harder then the SAT math use
sparknotes they has a free online book that explains math concepts
[SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2: Basic Functions](http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/books/sat2/math2c/chapter9section1.rhtml)

and again practice!!!
