How do I get an international interview (England)?

I'm hearing different things from different sources, so I'm looking for some clarification.

Apparently an alumnus will contact any applicant from the US, Canada or the UK. Is that after I submit the Common App or the Harvard supplement? Either? Both?

Will they contact me or do I have to actively arrange one?

Thanks in advance.

Why don’t you call the admissions office and ask them?

[Harvard College Admissions § Applying: International Interviews](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/international/interviews.html)

I read this and wrote them a mail one or two month ago but didn’t get an answer yet. So I’m not quite sure whether they received it or not and if I should write another one …

They will contact you. Interviews are arranged by the interviewer, not the applicant.

After the Common app or the supplement?
