How do i get from amherst to williams and manage to go to both open houses?

i’m planning to fly into hartford on the 16th, do the open house at amherst on the 17th, visit the williams day on the 18th, and fly out of albany on the 19th. how can i get from amherst to williams without missing anything? i checked the greyhound schedule, but there are no direct buses, and stopping in hartford would make me miss a lot of the open houses (time-wise). any ideas or suggestions?

Do you drive? All I can think of is to rent a car and get yourself there.

Pretty sure most places won't let you rent cars unless you're 25 or older?

It would be risky, but I'm sure if you go to the Amherst open house you could find someone to bum a ride off of. Maybe post this in the Williams forum as well and also in some accepted student sites? There is an Amherst accepted student chat today, maybe pose the question there.

Quite frankly, I don't know what to tell you. One of the problems with western Mass. is that, without a car, travel is very tedious. You should try seemoshuttle.com or google Valley Transporter. They are van services that I use to get back to Amherst from Bradley. Unfortunately, they may only go to the Pioneer Valley area, but I suggest you call them and ask if they can get you to Williams. I will warn you that it will be a little pricey. It's about $40 one-way from the airport to Amherst, so I have no idea what they'd charge you to get to Williams, which I don't believe is on their normal route. But, it doesn't hurt to try.

I am trying to squeeze Tufts and Amherst in together

Amherst is 23/24, and Tufts is on 24. I am not sure if I can leave Amherst in time to get to Boston, but I am going to give it a shot...
