how do i get into a foreign language class?

<p>how do i register for Chinese 10 and not get dropped! i took the language placement exam online, and i was placed in chinese 10bx, but i want to take chinese 10 just because i don't think im ready for chinese 10bx. has anyone had a similar experience as mine?</p>

<p>Anyone who does not enroll in a Chinese class they are not placed in will be dropped. It is department policy.</p>

<p>From the Summer Schedule of Classes:</p>

<p>"Chinese 10 is an intermediate level course for students who have completed the equivalent of beginning level Chinese. Students who have not taken Chinese 1A/1B at UC Berkeley must take the online Chinese Language Placement Test at ealc.berkeley.edu before registering. Students are responsible for enrolling in the appropriate level. Any student who enrolls in a class below his/her level will be dropped from the class. Textbooks are in both simplified and traditional characters."</p>
