How do I get rid of junioritis (and/or senioritis)?

These days, I'm just not in the mood to work. The college app stuff is already starting to worry me even before junior year, along with the APs that are gonna come in around three weeks. Any advice on how to get rid of this gloominess?

I know what you mean, I was a junior last year and I had senioritis SOOO bad. It was my last year at my former school since I am going to IAA for my senior year, and I was in mostly advanced senior classes. I was considered by most to be an honorary senior, lol.

Hmmm... find something to get excited about. I really like Calculus, so I would get home and start my calc first to get in a good mood, then I'd go on to AP physics when I got bored of calc, then back to calc.
Don't forget to take breaks because they can really help with the stress levels.

Idk, senioritis is a tricky disease. I hope I don't have a relapse for my real senior year haha.

bump anyone else?

I'm a rising senior and I already feel like giving up.

But I just have to go on with a few cans of Red Bull.

I'm a rising senior and I've already given up.

My whole high school career has been a battle against my procrastination. :)

I've had senioritis since I was a freshman. Now I'm a rising senior, and I too have given up.

Me too. Right now I just tell myself that if I don't get everything done when I need to get it done I won't be able to do well for the whole year. I'm basically trying to scare myself out of it. Hasn't worked too well though.

Yeah, so I THOUGHT that I had 'junioritis.'

No. I didn't. It got SO much worse for senior year. It just HIT, even though I basically enjoyed my classes and I enjoy school pretty much. So anyway, if you think you're giving up now, just wait. At least at my school, senior year is WAY more exhausting and difficult than junior year.

I've had it since kindergarten. It's that bad. To put some things into perspective, I probably haven't finished more than 5 books in my entire life...and etc.

Procrastination does not even remotely scratch the surface of what it truly means to be lazy/have senioritis.

If you don't want to work, then don't work. If your smart you'll begin to regret not working, and you'll change your ways. If your stupid and you don't change your ways, then the work you could have done wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Well... my whole high school career has been a wonderful party with my procrastination. I love procrastinating and honestly work a LOT better when the deadline is approaching in an hour or two. :]

I agree, but you make it seem like it's so easy. ;)

...

I just have been able to cruise through school with my laziness, if I don't do the homework so what? I make it up on the tests because I'm pro at tests, senior year won't be any different, I make up for my laziness with mad skillz at test taking and paper writing. I usually get by with a 3.0 and thats not even weighted, I just feel bad for the people who actually try and still suck at school.

I procrastinate really badly (for ex: I have to read a 300 page book + answer lots of questions on it/read 2 chapters of bio + questions/selfquizzes by THURSDAY when school starts). I always manage to get it done though, no matter how late I have to stay up.

Here's my example of my current procrastinating -
By August 11th [yeah I still have over a week, so I won't be starting any time soon] I have to:
-read Dante's Inferno and keep a dialectical notebook about it, commenting on every few lines and doing a whole lot of metacognition crap
-read Beowulf
-read The Canterbury Tales
-create my own Inferno [either on posterboard, trifold, or computer generated] === [I'm doing computer generated because that way, when I get distracted, I can get on CC :D] that includes 2-3 paragraphs per level of Hell talking about why the sin, why the punishment, why why why. Have to have a way to get moral redemption, have a guide through Hell, etc etc etccccccceteraaaaaaaa.
^That was all for AP English Lit
-read a 100 page page packet for AP Calc BC
-hopefully nothing else, because that's all I know of.

Damn that looks like a lot more work now that I typed it out... maybe I should get started.
