What is the best way to get from USC to LAX? Is there a shuttle from USC to LAX, and if so where/when do I access it? How much time does it take approximately?

My favorite way is to take the free USC shuttle to Union Station, then take the Flyaway bus from Union Station to LAX. It only costs $8, and it’s not slower than the other ways to get there.

The other way most people take is one of the shuttle services, like Supershuttle or Prime Time.

i took (sad, past tense lol) primetime shuttle. it’s a bit more expensive at $15 but it’s the best if you have a lot of luggage since they pick you up pretty much right in front of your dorm/apartment. you also don’t have to deal with the unloading/loading at Union Station.

if you have a lot of luggage i’d go with the shuttle… but if you’re traveling light, the tram + flyaway combo works great

My son recently had a bad experience taking primetime shuttle to the airport. After picking him up, along with two other USC students, the shuttle spent an hour driving around trying to find another address, and my son ended up cutting it really close in regard to getting to his flight on time. After all that, it turned out that the address the driver couldn’t find was just another gate at USC. So all four shuttle passengers were from USC.
This left me thinking that these students could have shared a taxi and spent less and got there much faster.
Is there anywhere at USC where people can post listings looking for shared rides? This would be helpful not only for rides to/from the airport, but also to other cities.
