hey folks, Im a prospective student looking to visit penn. Im from nyc and I was just wondering if anyone could give me directions on to get to Penn. I am going to take one of those chinese buses to get to Penn. So where do I go after Im dropped off? Can anyone tell me what subway/bus lines I can take to get to Penn? Btw, I think the chinese bus drops you off in chinatown, philadelphia. The exact address is 55 N 11th St, Philadelphia 19107. Specific directions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

one more thing, should i even consider walking there from chinatown?

ummmmm...how about when you get to Philly, you call on a taxi driver and ask him for directions? Sounds good?

If I had money for that, I wouldnt be taking a chinese bus now would I?

Why don't you mapquest it?

gosh....who said anything about money?
You ask him for directions...not actually go in the cab.

I visited Penn during the summer and took the train. There are a lot of parts to this journey so I will try to condense as much as possible. These are directions that I am telling you from the top of my head and they are for anyone living in NYC.

First take a train to Penn Station (it is not part of the actual subway system). You have to walk to it. Just follow the signs on the platforms of the Penn Station stop on the subway system trains.

This is the cheapest way to get there, there is a more expensive way to get there by train, but since i didn't take it, it escapes me.

Take the NJ transit (buy a round trip ticket, costs about 19.50 (not sure though)) to Trenton New Jersey. Then from there take the SEPTA train Each way is like 7 bucks. The stop is 32nd street or 34st. Pretty sure its 34st, but you will see which one it really is.

I walk to and from CHinatown all the time. It's nothing. Just walk west on Chestnut, and when you see a path that goes left (should be at 33rd), take it to walnut street. viola.

viola? or voila? lol

What's the definition of a minor 2nd? Two violas playing in unison.

Love that viola joke!
