Alright, so I'm all moved in, and the first week of class is quickly coming to an end.

I just transferred to the engineering school this semester, and I really don't know anyone. The people I do know aren't really the social type. I, however, am. I'd like to join one of these fraternities as a way to meet people in mass quantities and have some mindless fun when I'm away from my studies.

The only question now is, "where do I sign up?"

Maybe another question might be, "what am I getting myself into?"

Thoughts?

I don’t know much but feel bad that you haven’t gotten a response! Fraternity “rush” is fairly informal but the fraternities will have parties and you can get to know the guys in the house at the parties. Then they have parties that you have to be invited back to and if they like you, they will ask you to join. There must be a website on Greek life at Michigan that explains how this works and you might need to register (at least the girls do). Ask around – ask to be introduced to someone in a fraternity or to someone that can explain the process to you. Good luck!
