How do I go about writing my personal statement?

I'm going for my own prompt.

Should I choose my essay topic first, then write multiple drafts of that, and edit/choose the best one?

Or

Should I write multiple drafts of multiple topics, and see which one sounds more like me/which one I feel like sending?

second option seems like it'd take too long, but it should give me more options, right?

Or can ANY topic be turned into a decent one, even if it does not have any strong message/point that it is trying to convey, but gives a good picture of the student/his voice?

Yes, any topic can be a good topics! It’s all about how you write it. And yes again, as long as you can convey who you are all while keeping your own voice, you should be fine!

So what I would recommend is for you to pick a topic and write a draft. If you don’t like it, write another. I picked a topic and wrote 3 essays on it. Then i thought of a new way to phrase my main point, so I wrote a 4th essay and really love it.

Best regards,
