Get PR, RocketReview and McGraw-Hill and buckle down on some strategies. Then get the Blue Book and take all 8 practice tests.

^But mix up the sequence a bit. You’re neither going to benefit from taking 8 straight practice tests nor reading 4 straight prep books. I’d read a bit from each section of one book, take a test, analyze the test, repeat. And of course, be improving your Reading and Writing skills throughout by extensive reading.

ive already read rocket review and ive done a PR course which did not benefit me at ALL. and ive already taken like 6 tests..

zainu did you do do the PR course online or did you do it in person?

yea im in the same boat, i need some advice too. I scored a dissapointing 164/240 on the PSAT and I’m aiming for a 2100 by June. Any advice especially for critical reading?

Read. As in, books.

ive started reading.. ive read like 2 books in my life soo far =p
so yeah..and i took the PR course in person.. but id never do the hw!

Well maybe if you did your hw you would have done better. The only way to improve is with effort, and you seem to be lacking in that department. Only helpful advice is to motivate yourself.

^Agreed. Scoring well on the SAT’s requires a lot of effort. Find a school you want to attend and draw your motivation from the fact that without an [x score] you won’t stand a snowball’s chance at getting in. Let’s say you want to go to UCLA (for which you need about a 2000). Learn about UCLA, visit UCLA, and if you find that you really like it, maybe you’ll start doing everything you can to get in.
