How do I interpret SSAT Scores

My daughter received her test results today and I am confused, which score do we go by? Is it the box that SSAT Scores? Or the Breakdown? Or the Estimated National Percentile?

Go by the scores in the top left-hand corner under the SSAT logo (the triangle thing)

The primary score that most people (and the schools) refer to is the ssat overall percentile in the box. (This is not an average of the three subtest percentiles) The breakdown is just to see how she did on different skill sets. You can completely ignore the national percentile.

ok thanks for your input they sure make it confusing - do you know what the most amount of points that you can?

The highest total score is 2400. The highest percentile is 99%.

Hello i just got my scores back and i am very dissappointed in them
Verbal-614 24%
Math-719 65%
Reading-638 41%
Total-1971 42%

I know my scores arent the best, but i play hockey, basbeall, and lacrosse. I am an A and B student never lower than a B. I am applying to Exeter, Governors, and New Hampton. Do you think i still have a chance i have essays and last year i got the Johns Hopkins award for high MCAS scores. So tell me what you think. I really appreciate it thx.

O yeah My National Percentiles are
Verbal- 74%
Math- 98%
Reading-89%

Any tips should i retake it

I may be wrong, Ive heard mixed answers, some say you can not retake them and otheres say that you can. If you are going to retake them then you should act fast as the last date is Feb 6 for the schools to consider them I would have your parents contact the admissions department and see if it would make a difference. I also know that SSAT is only a portion of the admissions process
