I checked My Blue Hen Home today, and it says that UDelaware is offering me the UD Trustee Scholarship for a total of $13,000 dollars. First of all, it splits that up into Spring and Fall terms, each of which list $6,500, which confuses me. I read that the UD Trustee scholarship was for around $5,000 per year, so is this really an offer for $6,500 per year, but formatted poorly? Or is it an offer for $13,000 over four years? Thanks for any help, I’d just like to clear this up so I know what I’m being offered.
Are you instate or OOS?
Call the school financial aid office on Monday and ask them. Maybe you got an additional grant…or maybe this is worded poorly…or maybe it’s right.
You are OOS so the award is larger than the instate ones (the $5k per year). You’re being offered $13k per year to help cover a portion of the high OOS tuition.
You’re a twin and you’ve said that your parents can’t pay for both Twins’ college costs. How much can they pay for EACH TWIN EACH YEAR???
I’ve seen some schools on your app list, including UWash, and a number of them probably won’t be affordable. Did you apply to any schools that FOR SURE will give you huge merit and the remaining costs will be low? If not, why not???

Hi all, just recently took an interest in U of Washington, was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of whether I will get in there, and maybe what kind of aid I can expect? Here are my stats:

AP’s: 8

Hey, thanks for responding to my post(s), you’re always so helpful
I have already been offered a full tuition scholarship + $3,500 per year by UAlabama, and besides that Udelaware is the only school that has made an offer so far. Something I should’ve made clear in my previous posts is that my family has an above average income, and COULD afford to pay around ~$35,000 per year for each our tuitions. However, I am looking to minimize the cost because I don’t want to strain their budgets, and for my major school prestige is of far less importance than individual skill/aptitude. I believe that I will get a decent amount of aid from Drexel, when they review my application, and I expect a few other schools I’ve applied to will offer me amounts only slightly less than what Delaware offered. Alabama is currently my safety, if no other better offers come along, and I am seriously considering attending. At the very least I will visit the campus in the near future. Again, thanks for the help!
3: This applicant would likely receive a Purple and Gold Scholarship from Washington, which would reduce the tuition, room and board to around $36,500/year.
I looks like the scholarship is $13000, split into fall and spring. It doesn’t say it is guaranteed for 4 years, so make sure it is or what you have to do to keep the scholarship each year.
Not sure I’d recommend UWash if this student is considering a comp sci major (dunno, just saw the coding club thing) Wicked competitive there, unlikely to be competitive for scholarships. Not judgement; I didn’t apply there either.

Has your twin applied, too?
Please let me know if you plan to visit. I can give you some “insider info” lol to help with your visit.
