How do I know if Cornell received my application?

I applied to Cornell ED yesterday. I submitted all my application materials online and it says "Submitted" next to each of them. Despite the supplement being submitted, it has a yellow square next to it. But I'm not too worried about this cos they say there's a bug in commonapp.

But how do I know if Cornell received my application? Pls help. I'm really worried. :(

If it says submitted, you are good. You should receive an email from the Common App saying that you successfully submitted the app within a day or so, and then within a week get an email from Cornell with an Applicant ID to check your status. At that point the "Submitted" should changed to "Downloaded".

OK. Thanks for clarifying. I got the email from common app this morning. So, I have to wait a week for Cornell's email?

What? You get your ID at the same time that the app is downloaded? I don't think so...

What about checking it if you sent some stuff over mail?

They download the app then after (maybe up to two weeks), they'll send you your CornellID.

Yea, they are right, I'm sorry. They download the app first and THEN the ID comes within a week or two.

i am from malaysia whose time zone is one day earlier than the usa's. so, i finished my ED application on the 2nd november, 11am (so it means the 1st november 11pm in the states). however, the date beside the 'downloaded' link is 11/02/2008. what does it mean then??

It probably means it took down your time zone's time when you submitted your app, not the equivalent EST time.

Woot! My application has been "downloaded" now.

@ cherry0809, I am an international, too. I submitted my app on 2 nov for me and it said 1 nov on the commonapp still. I'm not sure what happened with your app....

omg!!!!hectorbo's case is totally different from mine!!!can anyone enlighten me on this please?and hectorbo, what country are u from?may be ur time zone is earlier than the usa's??
