how do i knowwhat type of laptop to get?

<p>how am i supposed to know what system/configuration/etc im supposed to have?</p>

<p>and also, is tehreany way i can get a laptop from the university?</p>

<p>A lot of schools have some separate store to buy computers from--if your school has one, you might want to check that out.</p>

<p>UIUC has a campus technology site on-line that has minimum configurations required. It also has a computer store on-line where you will find that it has special deals through Dell: <a href="http://www.cstores.uiuc.edu/center/center.html%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.cstores.uiuc.edu/center/center.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>You cannot buy through the site until you have a student ID number. You do not have to buy through the store but you will likely find the price is going to be cheaper than if you buy a like computer elsewhere.</p>

<p>I you are going to buy dell keep an eye out for the 750 off 2000 cupon and the sutch cause that was a much better deal then what the school offered which was only about ten percent off</p>
