How do I look for Wharton

Hey guys,

Well, my app stuff is below. However, let me just give a some brief background. As of now, I kinda have two passions: finance and biology. I love both and would be happy doing either. For a while, I kinda was "premed focused" but am kinda getting turned off of the career and am weighting possibly going down a different route (I-banking) that incorpates my love of finance and money. So, how would I look (I am concerned I am not business-focused enough for Wharton = ( )

Work Experience:

Working as a paid research intern with a doctor at my local med center
Worked a paper route for 7 years

Strengths:

You have good GPA, good test stores, and a great rank at your school.
Extracurricular-wise you have lots of activities and many awards.

Weaknesses:

Your extracurriculars in which you’ve had leadership roles in could be interpreted as all over the place. You might want to think about how to selectively reveal them to give the appearance of a better “story” for the admissions committee.

Summary:

You’re a great candidate. You’re definitely ahead of most competitive applicants to Wharton. Problem is that none of your achievements are “extraordinary” enough to guarantee admission to Wharton, so while you have a high chance of admission, it will still be variable based on how well you convey a story in the interview and essay writing process.

I graduated from Wharton a few years ago so feel free to PM me if you’d like more advice.

Are you applying ED? If you nail those SAT 2’s, especially Math 2, then I’d think that you’d get in
