How do I look?

Hey. BC is my number 2 school (after ND), so I was wondering how my stats look for admissions.
I’m a junior at a Catholic high school (medium sized, about 1200 students)
98.2% Average (out of 100%, w/ weight the valedictorian usually gets about a 103% so mine’s not perfect but pretty high)
School doesn’t rank, but almost definitely in top 10% of (very competitive) class
Always in all possible honors and AP
Current Classes-AP Biology (all seniors), AP US Hist. Honors PreCal, Spanish 3, Honors Physics, Cath. Church Class, and AP Language
Next year: AP Physics, AP Euro Hist., AP Calc BC, AP Spanish, Ethics, AP English Lit, possibly AP Chem also
33 ACT (I’m starting prep, so I really think I can get a 34+)
2150 SAT (not retaking)
Involved in: Student council, School Paper (writer), Perform in both musical and play, on stage crew for 2 years, Co-Pres of Recycling club and Student Action, in NHS<–I’m in other clubs but these are the ones I’m most active in
I had a job for 6 months this year but was too busy, plan to get another
Have req. service work through school, plan to do weekly work (10 hours or so) at local hospital
Will work HARD on essay
My school usually gets a lot of people into BC
How’s it looking? Thanks

So far, pretty good.

just like reddune said, so far youre looking pretty good to get into BC. everything youve listed looks very impressive.

How do you look? Post a picture and we’ll tell you.

^ You made my morning GroovyGeek.

looks good - I would increase volunteer work in the community, rest looks great.

wow…well i have to say the 33 act is good enough already…if you pull of a 34 or possibly 35…i wouldnt be surprised if you recieved admissions to honors college there. Good luck the rest of the way.

^^^
I would not make conclusions based on test scores. D got deferred EA with ACT=34, SAT1=2230 superscored, and SAT2s=770 (lit), 750 (math1) and 730 (math2). Essays and ECs were good enough to get her admitted almost instantaneously as OOS at UW, so there must not have been terrible red flags there. I think that class rank is a much better indicator of admissions chances than test scores. Of course, there is always the wildcard of the EC gobbledygook, and how the various adcoms view it.

well I mean, 34 is 99th percentile, equivalent to about a low to mid 1500’s SAT. Obviously nothing is a lock but they would have an excellent chance. I simply said I would not be surprised if this person did get honors.

i got a 35 on my ACT, not superscored or anything and i didnt get honors. i had a really strong essay as well as strong ECs that show a lot of initiative, volunteerism, and leadership. i think the one thing ive learned about college admissions throughout this whole process is that nothing is certain. u can look fantastic on paper but that guarantees absolutely nothing. that said, good luck JR526. let us know how it turns out!
