great essays

please rate my chance as ...0%, 25%, 50% or 75% of getting in to UCLA

thanks!

hard to say I'd say atleast 50% with those stats but their admission rate is only 23% (more competitive than CAL which is at 24.1%) and competition gets more and more stiff each year with the increase of students wanting UCLA. definately apply your stats are up to par.

I would say that you have a very low chance of getting in about 10%. This is based mainly on the fact that you are applying Engineering and the average accepted engineer has at least a 4.2 UC GPA and a 1400(old) 2100 SAT 1 score.

For Engineering you should be looking at UCSB, UCI, or Davis.

alright thanks so sb uci and davis is 75%. how about ucsd? 50% less/more?

33% for ucsd and like 75% for UC Davis, SB , and I

what else can i do on my application to make myself competitive for ucsd other than improving sat? gpa? sat2? act i scored a 25 (32m 24r 25e 21s) with no practice. should i retake that?

I think the ACT really depends on how ou do in school, so if you didn't do so well the first time, i don't think you should retake it. You might want to tr studying the test-taking techniques (which might already know0 and then you could retake the ACT.

damn...youve already done your essays? i didnt do mine till nov 20. btw i hate chances threads.

no to steal this threat, but what are the essay questions? I didn't know they were posted yet.

if u already finished ur essays keep editing and polishing them up. also, try to get a better writing score. a 2000+ SAT should do it for u but there are always other factors :o

you NEED to bump your sat score, especially your SAT II math IIC and your SAT math if you're applying for CS or engineering!

kfc4u:
to how much?

I'd say something, but... damn... not again.
