How Do I Mail My Reports?

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering how I can mail all my forms (my report cards and teacher recommendations) to my selected universities in the US.

I there any company in Delhi that does it for me? If so, how much would they roughly charge?

Furthermore, would it be possible to send ALL my forms electronically to my selected universities (this probably also includes my Arts Supplement which I would compress and send it to them by email) or are universities adamant about receiving hard copies only?

The best way would be to pack the documents required in a safe packet. I would recommend Fedex to courier your documents as it would be the best way & also safe. It would cost you around 1400 INR. To the best of my knowledge no university will take in photocopies and the recommendations given to you should be sealed by the school itself.

I would suggest you selecting one college which you think will be perfect match for you, until then just keep talking the admission counselor.

Hope this helps

All the best for your future.

Wait a min. But why cant you just send all those report cards and recommendations through Common app. You can just tell your counselor and teachers to it electronically. It would also save you the time plus courier charges, which arent negligible atleast. What say?
Isnt everyone else sending the reports/recs through commonapp??

I know sending online is a valid method, but my teachers will most likely prefer to fill them by hand. Also transcripts would be quite difficult to send online for my school. How do colleges coordinate and allocate the massive number of documents they receive if some stuff comes online and some comes by mail. Is it better to send the whole thing by mail or the whole ting online rather than mail some and send other stuff online??

It doesn’t matter that your proportions of snail mail and electronic mail are unequal. All admissions have a systematic way of sorting and it takes them atleast 2 weeks to process the material in once it arrives. I would inform your teacher how urgent it is for them to keep extra copies of your recommendations until the process is over. I would rely on UPS/Fedex in delivering your paperwork. I believe that UPS costs less than Fedex and one is also located in New Delhi. Correct me if that is not the case in international places.
