<p>I'm really confused on how this whole CARS thing works. So I went on BearFacts and looked my quick statement. It says:</p>

Account Balance: $16,617.75</p>
<p>I don't really get where the $16,617.75 comes from</p>
<p>Anyways, when I go to my eBill and look at that statement, the numbers above don't show at all and it says I have nothing due.</p>
<p>okay. from what i figured, your account balance is all the fees you have accrued. reg fees, housing, medical, whatever. All that put together = account balance.
Your fee is automatically taken out from any loans/aid that you received that has been put into your account. Any amout left over is still yorus to pay. So far it seems none of yours has been paid which means that in all likelihood, you didn't receive much aid.
To pay it by yourself, you can probably do this on the ebill section, but even though it says pay by aug 15, you dont' get a late fee until after sept 15th, so i'd say wait until you get to school and then write them a check or something.</p>

they said that they would post something on e-bill on July 28th, but its already August and my e-bill still says $0.00...</p>

<p>Did the school ask for you to send information about your parents' income tax or the status of another family member in college? Typically the financial aid office asks me to provide these. But nothing happened this year. Has this happened to anyone else?</p>
<p>Under your bearfacts > finanicial aid-- you should be able to see if any forms are missing.</p>
<p>Calgrants and federal ones are processed for fall amounts only. If you have outside scholarships, you'll have to wait til the scholarships get sent to the school and updated.</p>
<p>I'm not missing anything from my financial aid (well actually just a perkins prom note. I completed it so I guess I just have to wait for that to be processed...) yet there is absolutely nothing in my CARS account.</p>
