How do I proceed from here (Admitted to UCLA)

I thought UCLA would rescind me because of a dropped mathematics course, but they didn't. This is the e-mail they sent me:

"Dear ******,

You recently submitted a Provisional Problem Form notifying us of changes in your coursework. Based on your self-reported information, your eligibility will not be affected by these changes. However, your admission will not be final until official transcripts, which include your Spring 2012 grades (and/or Summer 2012 grades), have been received.

I dropped a math course and currently will finish my Spring semester with 58 units but I'm taking a 3 unit math course this Summer to fulfill my math requirement and put me at 61 units.

I called them and the lady said I was admitted and just proceed with what the letter says.

Should I submit and pay for my SIR? Because I really want to go to UCLA, I was sure they'd rescind me but they didn't.

I'm not sure how to proceed. Do I just take my planned Math course this Summer and when/how do I send them transcipts for my Summer 2012 math course? The lady I just talked to on the phone wasn't helpful at all... literally didn't answer my questions.

Call them again.

I told them that I will have 58 units at the end of this Spring and and will be taking a 3 unit math class in the Summer, but I’ll call again.

I just submitted my SIR.

Really, a bump after 54 minutes…?

^ What a helpful post, thanks.

Hi Hayward,

I have a similar situation with you. I have been admitted by UCLA, but I will not finish 60 credits by the end of spring since I can only finish 57 credits. They are now reviewing my status. Did they withdraw your acceptance at that time? What will possibly happen? I am so worried about it. Thanks

If you every speak to anyone from admissions… write their info own as well as the time and date. This can only help of you ever get admission rescinded (which seems unlikely since you have been rescinded already) because you can mention in that in the appeal.
