how do i read this ssat results

<p>looks like my daughter did not do well on the ssat. can't figure out if i'm reading it correctly. when they give the percentile next to the ssat score, is that the one i go by.</p>

<p>Yes that is the one you go by. Also, you can tell it’s the SSAT score since they will all be most likely different.</p>

<p>I just got mine and I did horrible.
I got a 92% overall last year and a 71% this year.
Does this make any sense?</p>

<p>The percentile is at the top of the score report, next to the scaled scores.</p>

<p>Keep in mind that generally only advanced students take the SSAT, so percentiles are often lower than you might be used to, because the “curve” is set so much higher. If the test were administered nationally to all students, your daughter’s scores would probably be much higher.</p>
